Prevent Spam Facebook Viruses and hot to stop them. 

Updated May 18th. The Prevent Spam virus seems to have been stopped. However, Facebook is loaded with viruses. If you want to protect yourself from Facebook Viruses, here is one way to do it. What was written to combat the Prevent Spam Virus, will apply to the others.

Thursday, May 12th around midnight Eastern Time, a Facebook Virus began spreading like wildfire, and it's still not under control. Furious and confused Facebook users are suddenly finding a VERIFY YOUR ACCOUNT post appearing on their Wall. It is a virus. Do not click on the link. Here are some tips to help you Prevent Spam. Start by copying and pasting the message below. Then, with a few clicks in your Facebook Privacy Settings, you can abate the spread of the virus. Here is how you can prevent the Facebook Virus and how to stop it from spreading. 


How To Stop The Virus From Spreading

Go to your Facebook Account Settings and  select Privacy Settings. Midway down the page it will say Customize Settings - click on that. Three quarters of the way down the page is a section called Things Others Share. You want to uncheck the Enable button on Friends can post on my Wall.

Leave this unchecked until the virus goes away.

Heads Up..... A New FACEBOOK VIRUS is spreading like wildfire.... Here is what it says.... "In order to PREVENT SPAM, I ask that you VERIFY YOUR ACCOUNT. Click VERIFY MY ACCOUNT right next to comment below to start the process"
