It was a little crowded at the judge's table this week as 16 time Latin Ballroom Champion, Donnie Burns joined Carrie Ann, Len and Bruno. Burns participated in the voting for all of the dances.
Each couple was to perform two dances, one as a group and a solo dance. The group dance had the remaining competitors broken into two teams: Romeo, Chelsea Kane and Ralph Macchio faced off against Hines Ward, Kendra Wilkinson and Kirstie Alley. Scores for the team dances were to be added to each competitor’s solo dance score.
Since each team scored 30 points, it had no effect on the final scores.
Chelsea Kane and Mark Ballas scored 34 points with their Paso Doble, not enough to keep her at the top of the leader board, even though the crowd gave them a standing ovation.
Ralph Macchio reclaimed his form from the first week and was awarded his first 10 of the season. Following Macchio was Hines Ward and he also earned his first 10 of the season, leaving them both tied for the lead on Dancing With The Stars 2011 with 36 points.
Taking the biggest fall this week was Romeo. None of the judges liked his Samba and he fell from first to dead last, only collecting 29 points.
One point separated Kendra Wilkinson and Kirstie Alley – garnering a 31 and 30, respectively.
Who will the fans vote to keep? Tuesday’s Elimination Show should be exciting, with three dancers clustered at the bottom of the DWTS leader board – Wilkinson, Alley and Romeo.
Week 7 on Dancing With The Stars 2011 produced two new leaders Ralph Macchio and Hines Ward. Let’s see who survives on Tuesday.
